The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has given Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of two COVID-19 vaccines. Healthcare workers at the highest risk of exposure and residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities have been prioritized to receive the first allotments of the vaccine. Law enforcement personnel and firefighters are now eligible as well.
Douglas County Public Health is making appointments for people who provide direct healthcare services to those who could have COVID-19 such as dental office staff, school nurses, home health workers, and EMS.
Please call 715-395-1304 if you are a healthcare worker.
Note: It is expected that vaccines will not become widely available to community members until later in 2021. An announcement will be made when vaccine supplies reach a point that allows partners to begin taking appointments and providing COVID-19 vaccinations to community members.
