THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DELAY IN PASSPORT SERVICES RECEIVING APPLICATIONS DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED MAIL VOLUME AND OTHER COVID-19 IMPACTS ON THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE.
PREPARE TO APPLY OR RENEW WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR PLANNED TRIP. (AS OF 1-15-2021)
Renewal applications cannot be accepted through a passport application agent and must be mailed directly to the U.S. Department of State by the applicant.

newal PROCESS
A passport may be renewed when the most recent passport:
- Is undamaged and can be submitted;
- Was issued when the applicant was 16 or older;
- Was issued within the last 15 years; and
- Was issued in the current name, or name change documentation can be provided.
To renew, complete form DS-82 (also available in County Clerk’s Office) and submit: The most recent passport book/card; One (1) passport photograph; and fees. Photo services are provided at a cost of $14 plus tax (as of 1/1/18). Please call (715) 395-1341 or e-mail us to make a photo appointment.
