The Douglas County Jail now has an internet-based video visitation system. You must set up an account with TurnKey, the company providing this system, including a valid e-mail address before you can visit online OR in the Jail Lobby. The Jail Lobby has four kiosks. All visits are initiated by the visitors; staff do not do any connections. Staff also cannot set up the account for you. You must do this on your own. For more information and to set up your account, go to TurnKey's
Visitation hours are every day from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis. Lockdown times will prohibit inmates from visiting and vary depending on Jail operations and/or Jail emergencies.
Visitations are monitored for safety and security concerns and for appropriate content. Any violations may result in a suspension of visitation privileges, up to and including a lifetime ban.
The mission of the Douglas County Jail is to provide for the citizens of Douglas County by maintaining the highest level of safety and security for inmates, visitors, and staff alike. We will treat everyone with respect and be professional throughout our duties. We will try to release inmates in better condition than when they came into the Jail.
It is our intent to work with the area judicial system, probation and parole department, and area law enforcement agencies to prevent further criminal activity in Douglas County, while maintaining and upholding local, city, State, and federal laws.
